| ACTIVITY | Visit Monserrate, the mountainside chapel with the most epic view of Bogota. Get a feel for the city from above and sample some traditional breakfast fare. Then, take a walk around the Candelaria, the birthplace of Bogotá marked by its colonial architecture. Step into the Botero museum and learn more about the art of Colombia´s most famous artist |

Day 2

| ACTIVITY | Discover two of the minerals that have brought Colombia so much fame! We will start the day with a visit to the Emerald Museum, learn why Colombia´s land favors top quality emeralds and how to know if a stone is quality. After appreciating the view from the museum and stopping for a traditional lunch we will spend the afternoon in the Gold Museum; filled with historic gems and priceless artifacts. At night, we will participate in the colombian tradition of riding in a chiva ( a bus that has been renovated to accomodate a party atmosphere) and travel around the areas of Bogota that are known for their vibrant night life. |

Day 3
| LOCATION | Zipaquira´s Salt Cathedral, Guatavita. |
| ACTIVITY | We will head out of the city. To start the morning, we will go underground to a literal cathedral built in the mountain! It used to be a salt mine! Then, we will head to Guatavita, savor the local cuisine and visit the lake of the same name; a sacred site for the Indigenous Muisca people and the origin of much of the gold in Bogota’s Gold Museum. After a long day, we will head back for a good night´s rest in Bogotá. |

| ACTIVITY | Get to know Usaquén, another historic and charming neighborhood of Bogotá. Then, enjoy an afternoon in la Calera. A popular destination for Bogotanos to escape the city and enjoy an evening or weekend. Enjoy juice or a beer and a bite to eat with great views.

| ACTIVITY | Gastronomy workshop/ Play tejo This trip wouldn’t be complete without learning about the food! We take a day to learn about all the food that is typical to Bogota. We make some, and then we eat a lot. to finish off the day, we will play the most colombian sport ever, tejo. A special prize will be awarded to anyone who can make a Mecha |
